Do I need any equipment to start?
No special gear needed. You can run your station from a browser. Go live with just a regular microphone: even a laptop mic will do. For automated playout, upload your music and set a schedule.
How quickly can I launch my station?
A few minutes. Sign up, name your station, upload your first track, and hit broadcast. The full setup: uploading your library, creating playlists, scheduling shows: takes longer, but you can be on air immediately.
Can I run my station without a website?
Yes. Every station gets a hosted page on the PLZ directory. Share the direct link, embed a player on any site, or let listeners tune in via the stream URL. A dedicated website is optional.
How do listener donations work?
Enable the donation button in your station settings. Listeners can donate via M-Pesa, bank transfer, or card. Funds go directly to you: PLZ does not take a commission on donations. It's full passthrough.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel in your billing area anytime before the next billing period. Your station stays active until the current period ends. We keep your data for 60 days if you want to reactivate later.
